The ILA Voluntary Blood Lead Reduction Programme, established in 2014, showcases the dedication of the ILA Membership to continuous improvement. The programme, which focuses on primary lead smelters and recycling sites, has grown from 34 members in 2013 to 52 sites, including 4 voluntary participants.
This presentation will spotlight industry performance in 2024, emphasizing the significant progress made over the years by the ILA Membership. With the association’s target of no employee exceeding a blood lead level exceeding 20 µg/dL by the end of 2025, this presentation will delve into the data to highlight how effective the programme has been in encouraging continuous improvement in participating companies’ performance reducing workplace lead exposures.
