The start of the new European Union mandate has seen industrial competitiveness and continental security rise to the top of the political agenda. Competitiveness, rapid electrification, and security now dominate discussions - most importantly in the European Commission's flagship initiative, the Clean Industrial Deal. This presentation will outline our efforts to support the lead and lead battery industry in engaging with the European Union institutions, ensuring that the industry's contributions to Europe's strategic goals are recognized and understood, and that regulatory decisions consider the industry's needs.
